CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT/CNA JOB DUTIES:
- Assist with the accurate implementation of the prescribed health care plan.
- Make frequent resident rounds to check the physical comfort, safety, and cleanliness of residents.
- Provide excellent care & treatment including: bathing; feeding; oral care; intake of food; dressing; care of hair and nails; moving residents from area to area; responding to calls, etc.
- Provide a broad range of cleaning/sanitary services, including: emptying and/or cleaning of urinals, commodes, bedpans; showers, wheelchairs & other equipment, timely & proficiently.
- Accurately & timely document Activities for Daily Living (ADL's), intakes and outputs & other appropriate information on charts.
- Assist with morning grooming and move resident to the dining room as needed.
- Change soiled & unsoiled linen; distribute clean towels frequently throughout shift.
- Ensure resident safety by immediately detecting, correcting & reporting situations that have a possibility of causing accidents or injuries.
- Observe & immediately report resident reactions & changes in condition; take & record vital signs, as required.
- Safely lift & reposition residents prn
- Pick up meal trays timely; distribute snacks daily.
- Encourage & actively participate in restorative measures; assist in activities.
- Professionally intervene in resident disputes or disruptive behavior, if necessary, to maintain proper facility harmony and resident safety.
- Perform other tasks in support of your team
- Assist in the dining room with meal serving & feeding as needed
Requirements
POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, see and hear. Occasionally required to reach and lift. Lifting only up to 50 pounds is permitted and may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- C.N.A. experience within the past year
- Current Texas CNA license
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Ability to pass background checks & work related references
- Must pass drug testing
